Prints: Etchings: Late Years

After a forty-year hiatus, Touster decided once again to delve into the etching process. In the 1990's he was drawing prolifically, and the line and tones of the work lent themselves particularly well to the etching process. His printing press had been stored in the Woodstock barn since the time he moved in, and except for a series of monoprints he did in the early 1970's, it had not been used. A Parson's friend and colleague, Roger Shepherd, would visit Touster in the barn for a week or more at a time, and together they would draw, etch plates with acid, and print etchings.
