Special Projects: The Artist and Model
The most recurrent theme in Touster’s work is that of Artist and Model. It was obviously a subject close to his heart. He would rework this theme, often producing dozens of variations to achieve exactly what he was after. He began these paintings early in the 1950s, and continued the theme until the end of his painting career.
