Works on Paper: Sketchbooks

Beginning around 1960, and continuing through the 1970's, Touster filled the pages of dozens of Japanese, accordion-folded sketchbooks. He used the drawings to work out ideas for paintings, sculptures, and larger drawings he was working on at the time. The sketchbooks are also finished works of art in their own right.
