Sculpture: Plaster Reliefs and Figures

Irwin would usually begin making his sculpture out of wax, before progressing in the process to plaster, and then to bronze. Many of his pieces made it to the plaster stage but were never cast into bronze. Over the years in storage, many of the plaster figures did not fare well, or were accidentally broken.
